For the latest Esports Predictions today, here’s our full primer for all major gaming championships in 2024.
Latest Esports Predictions Today
Esports has evolved over the last two decades. Its popularity — and gaming in general — skyrocketed with huge multiplayer titles that have remained relevant for more than 10 years, and its influence is still felt today.
As a result, big-ticket tournament bets have become more lucrative than ever.
But it takes hours of research to know a game, its rules and its star players, not to mention the days it takes to track multiple matches from different disciplines. So we compiled the latest match predictions for the hottest tournaments in 2024!
Worlds 2024 Best Bets
The League of Legends competitive season is coming to a head, with less than a week before its most exciting tournament of the year: the 2024 Season World Championships.
The multi-million dollar event is set to take place in Europe, starting its Play-Ins in Berlin before Worlds 2024 explodes into the city of lights for its final stage.
We’ve got a huge line-up for this year’s Worlds. FlyQuest, 100 Thieves and Team Liquid are competing in the new format, while LEC newcomers MAD Lions KOI join legends G2 Esports and Fnatic for another shot at the trophy.
The most dominant players in the mix are Korea and China, who have historically bagged the most Worlds titles out of all the other regions.
Gen.G and two more LCK contenders join reigning champs T1 to represent Korea.
Despite their relatively poor performance in domestic bouts, Faker’s squad has never bowed down in international fights. They took on all of China’s best teams last year and won, after all. But a back-to-back win seems unlikely, so we’re placing our bets on an LPL team this season.
Based on form alone, Bilibili Gaming is in an extremely good position to dominate the standings once the Swiss Stage begins.
BLG won two domestic splits in China and got 2nd place in Regionals AND the Mid-Season Invitational, making Bin and co. our best bet for Worlds 2024.
PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile has come a long way since its 2018 release. Since then, the game has amassed a huge global following, resulting in one of the biggest annual esports championships: the PUBG Mobile Global.
The tournaments range in prestige, but this year’s capstone is set to raise the bar. The $3,000,000 Global Championship is set for November in London, where the strongest leagues in the world will converge for 2024’s final circle.
The last two tournaments were high-profile events in China and the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, amassing nearly $6M in combined prizes. The latter’s inaugural event saw the Brazillian roster Alpha7 Esports go home with the gold, with Japan’s REJECT and China’s Tianba placing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
REJECT and Alpha7 also finished strong in the 2024 Major Global Open, so they’re both tied as our best bets in the upcoming Championship.
The Grand Finale of the 2024 competitive season will happen on November-December, so chack back in for the latest details!
Who will prevail in the WSOW 2024 Global Final?
The biggest Warzone event of the year is only a week away as the world’s best squads gear up for an explosive two-day Global Final in Las Vegas, USA.
Lil Mario, Lonnerdd, Clowhn — a relatively unseasoned squad — claimed first place in North America’s LCQ. At the same time, hardhitters like Babahuf and Jtecc made the top three, positioning them for success in the upcoming Grand Finals.
In EMEA, Team Robstar reigned supreme in their Last Chance Qualifiers last week while ZaaKK and co. clinched a 4th-place ticket to Grand Finals. Both teams exhibited enough teamplay potential to up their region’s chances of winning against NA dominance for the WSOW trophy.
That said, Team iVisionSR (iVisionSR, KingAJ, ShowStopper) currently stands as the region’s best hope for the Majors and beating NA’s strongest rosters.
Team Biffle hoisted the WSOW Grand Final trophy last year. And this season, the same team finished first in 2024’s NA Finals, putting them on the track for a momentous two-peat.
The World Series of Warzone Global Finals will run from September 14-15.
Esports Betting Tips: Get the Best Predictions
Know Your Teams
Participating rosters set expectations for the tournament to come and increase hype. Being aware of which teams are on a winning streak and those who are currently struggling makes for better predictions and helps you win more bets.
Study Match Prediction Articles/Videos
Experienced esports journalists and official VODS provide a wealth of info on the players in a league. Almost 80% of the tools you’ll need to make good predictions come from preview articles for roster match-ups.
Watch Game Highlights
Speaking of videos, there’s nothing like watching the highlights for a high-stakes match. All the big plays are here. And if you’re worried about missing any subtle misplays, the commentators have always got your back.
Check for Any Roster Changes
Controversial player swaps and roster changes often happen between splits or in the off-season. Granted, these are rare when it comes to sucessful rosters like SK Gaming and G2 Esports. But knowing which duo can dominate particularly strong teams can make your next bet more robust.
Compare Match Results
Looking at a team’s track record helps you figure out whether that roster is in-form. This matters when new tournaments are about to take place, or when a new stage begins. It also gives you some insight into any hard match-ups they’ve had in the past.
