Dallas Cowboys (7-8) at Philadelphia Eagles (12-3), 1:00 p.m. Sunday
The Line: Eagles minus-7/Total: 38
What is the line telling you:
The storyline here looks like Jalen Hurts will not be playing, and the sports betting market has reacted. The Eagles opened as 10.5-point favorites, and that line has since dropped down to seven, while the total has dropped a whole five points from 43 to 38, because Vegas and offshore is not expecting a lot of points here. The other big news is that Dallas receiver CeeDee Lamb is out for the last two games of the season with a shoulder injury and he accounted for over 30-percent of their receiving production this year. That’s big news in terms of offense. The last time these teams played, the Eagles blew their doors off in a 34-6 route in which the Cowboys turned the ball over five times. The Cowboys have revenge on their minds this time around.
Bottom line:
We like the Cowboys here plus-7. I just think with Jalen Hurts being out, that is huge for this Eagles’ offense. Even though CeeDee Lamb is out, Dallas has played good football the last two weeks as a team with victories over Tampa Bay and Carolina. They have looked good down the stretch with their backup Cooper Rush, who is 5-1 straight up and 5-1 against the spread on the road. Against the Commanders, the Eagles were in the game because Washington turned the ball over five times even though Hurts was hurt.
