Superstar singer Beyoncé was honored with a speech by California’s 42nd congressional district, Rep. Robert Garcia on the Congress floor on Capitol Hill on March 1.

Rep. Robert Garcia, a newly elected Democrat,  took time to speak before the Senate at the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. Garcia gave recognition to the Grammy Award-winning singer and her contributions to music.

“She is an icon, she’s a legend, and she is now and forever the moment. I want to celebrate none other than who I believe is the undisputed queen of pop and R&B, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter,” Congressman Garcia said.

Rep. Garcia also highlighted Beyoncé winning the most Grammys of all time with 32 and added to her collection at the 2023 Grammys in February 2023.

In addition, Rep. Garcia also said Beyoncé is a role model for women and stands up for them, such as her making an anthem that uplifts Black women. He added how much he appreciates her standing up for the LGBTQ+ community, which Congressman Garcia proudly represents.

“Beyonce is also a role model for millions across the country. She stood up for voting rights, for voting rights, for women and girls, and for my community, the LGBTQ+ community,” Congressman Garcia said.

Rep. Garcia called Beyoncé the “greatest of all time” for her career accomplishments.

Beyoncé is set to go on tour for her latest album Renaissance, which is also under surveillance by the U.S. Senate to prevent Ticketmaster from committing ticket fraud amid the massive demand for tickets. Additionally, Queen Bey recently gifted HBCU students tickets to her upcoming tour along with clothing from her brand, Ivy Park.

Beyoncé’s husband and rap legend Jay-Z felt that his wife should have won  “Album Of The Year” at the 2023 Grammys for her latest album, Renaissance. In an interview with Tidal, Jay said her album “inspired the world” and is “actively inspiring creativity.”
