Century Casinos, Inc. has announced that its new casino and hotel in Caruthersville, Missouri, is scheduled to open on November 1, 2024. This news follows the Missouri Gaming Commission’s approval to transfer the Century Casino & Hotel Caruthersville gaming license from a temporary pavilion to the new land-based location.
The upgraded Century Casino & Hotel Caruthersville will feature 599 slot machines and nine live table games, a 50% increase from the temporary site. The hotel will also expand its room capacity to 74. The construction, which began in December 2022, is expected to be completed within the budget of $51.9 million. The project is fully funded by VICI Properties Inc., which will own the real estate improvements of the Caruthersville project. The annual rent under the lease is expected to rise by around $4.2 million.
The new casino’s opening will be marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Central Time on November 1, followed by several activities throughout the opening weekend.
