Upcoming Bali International Hospital adopts TrakCare EMR and more briefs

TrakCare EMR underpins Bali International Hospital

The soon-to-open Bali International Hospital will adopt InterSystems’ TrakCare EMR.

Its operator, PT Pertamedika Bali Hospital, has recently partnered with T-Systems for the deployment of the digital medical record, which is expected to enable faster access to patient data at the new 255-bed hospital. 

According to a media release, the EMR integration will be completed by the time of the hospital’s grand opening, which is set for next month, September.

National Health Authority doubles down on digital health education

India’s National Health Authority has tied up with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences to help raise the digital health capability of the country’s health workforce.

Under their memorandum of understanding, the NHA will offer MUHS’s Digital Health Foundation course to medical students, doctors, and other healthcare professionals via the iGOT Karmayogi online learning platform for public sector employees. The course provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of digital health fundamentals.

Both parties will co-develop more digital health programs to promote the rollout of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, a national initiative laying the foundation of India’s digital health ecosystem. 

Virtus Fertility Centre Singapore leverages AI in IVF process

AI is now a standard of care at Virtus Fertility Centre Singapore, helping identify the most viable embryo in the process of in vitro fertilisation (IVF). 

The clinic adopted an AI technology called iDAScore, which the scientists of its parent company Virtus Health in Australia have developed with global AI partners, Harrison.ai and Swedish company Vitrolife.

It is used to analyse extensive time-lapse imaging data to identify and score the embryos with the highest potential of forming a foetal heart.
