Zimbabweans Criticize Proton Bakers for Donating Drums to Bulawayo Police Traffic Section

Proton Bakers have come under fire after donating empty drums to the Bulawayo police traffic section.

The bakery company donated 11 drums to the Bulawayo police traffic section for use at roadblocks, in a move that has sparked scrutiny and massive criticism from Zimbabweans.

Bulawayo Police Praise Proton Bakers Drums Donation
Speaking out after receiving the drums, Chief Inspector Samukeliso Sibanda, Officer in charge of Bulawayo Central Traffic, expressed gratitude to Proton Bakers for their donation.

“I would like to express my appreciation for the donation of 11 roadblock drums from Proton Bakeries Zimbabwe, which we believe will greatly enhance the safety of our officers managing roadblocks. We have seen an increase in incidents where police officers have been run over, so these drums will improve their visibility, especially at night, as they are equipped with reflectors that can be seen from a distance. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Proton Bakers.”
