Following a wild, jam-packed, fun-filled week of men’s college hoops action, FOX Sports bracket forecaster Mike DeCourcy released his updated NCAA Tournament projections.
The No. 1 seeds in DeCourcy’s latest projections remain unchanged, with UConn (East), Houston (South), Purdue (Midwest) and North Carolina (West) at the top.
Wisconsin, Tennessee, Marquette and Arizona remain on the 2-line. The Wildcats have won four of their last five, including an impressive victory over Pac-12 foe Oregon last weekend.
Duke, Creighton and Kansas are now joined by Baylor, who improved by one seed, as the No. 3 seeds in DeCourcy’s projections, while Iowa State, Illinois and Alabama remain No. 4 seeds, but they are now joined by Kentucky, who fell one seed.
As for teams on the bubble, DeCourcy has Memphis, Texas A&M, Washington State and Virginia as his last four teams in the tournament. Florida, Nevada, Colorado and Kansas State are the first four teams out, while Wake Forest, Drake, Virginia Tech and Butler are the next four out.
The Big 12 has the most representatives in DeCourcy’s compilation with nine teams, with the SEC second at eight teams. The Big East and Big Ten have six teams apiece, while the Mountain West has five teams. The ACC follows with four teams in DeCourcy’s latest projections. The Pac-12 has three teams represented, while the AAC and West Coast have two teams apiece.
