2025 Cowboys Draft: Dallas currently projected to hold top 10 pick

The Dallas Cowboys have not had a top 10 pick since the 2021 NFL Draft and even then they traded back out of their 10th overall spot. Given that it resulted in Micah Parsons, things certainly worked out well.

If you haven’t been watching though, the current team is on track to put the organization back in the top 10 when the 2025 NFL Draft arrives. As things stand through Week 11, with Dallas holding a 3-7 record, the Cowboys would hold the ninth overall pick.

It is important to note that the Cowboys have two games remaining that are against teams who are currently in front of them in NFL draft order. By mid-December they will have played both the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers.

It sure would be something if Dallas wound up in front of Carolina in the order given that the Cowboys sent the Panthers their fourth-round pick for Jonathan Mingo right before the trade deadline (Mingo had no receptions off of four targets in his debut on Monday night). Even with the Cowboys reeling at that point in time, it is fair to say that the idea of Dallas finishing worse than Carolina felt pretty improbable. This team finds a way, though.

Here are the current Dallas Cowboys selections for the 2025 NFL Draft:

1st (11th overall as of Week 11)
2nd
3rd
5th
6th
7th (from Carolina)

(It should be noted that the Cowboys will receive up to four compensatory picks in 2025)

In case you forgot, the Cowboys traded their original seventh-round pick to the Detroit Lions in the trade that they made during the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Dallas received a third that became Cooper Beebe, but they also sent a future seventh.

How high do you think the Cowboys can climb?
