Hunter suffered the shoulder injury during the Buffaloes Week 7 loss to Kansas State. He left in the second quarter of that game but was able to return for the Week 8 matchup against the Wildcats.

Hunter had two catches for 17 yards prior to leaving the contest. Colorado had built a comfortable 28-7 lead when he left and the Wildcats pulled several players from the lineup as well.

Colorado could exceed last season’s win total with a victory and move one win closer to bowl eligibility.

While Hunter’s presence on both offense and defense could help that effort, the big lead meant that the Buffaloes were able to focus on his health and make sure he is fresh for future matchups.
