Deebo Samuel training to be an F1 driver with Lando Norris is incredible content

The NFL’s Game Recognize Game series pairs stars from around the league with athletes and teams from other sports, putting the NFL’s stars to the non-football test. Previous installments have seen Deebo Samuel paired with Antoine Griezmann of Atlético Madrid in a skills challenge, and Buffalo Bills lineman Dion Dawkins in a hockey versus lacrosse versus football challenge.

The latest installment? It features Samuel being paired with Formula 1 star Lando Norris, as the two athletes learn what it takes to succeed in the other’s sport. Samuel paid a visit to the F1 team’s McLaren Technology Center in Woking, where he went through the training and exercises it takes to climb into the cockpit of an F1 car and rocket around some of the world’s most difficult circuits.

Not to be outdone, Norris attempted some of the exercises and drills that Samuel endures to be one of the NFL’s premier offensive talents. That includes Norris doing some weightlifting, Samuel getting in the driving simulator, and both going through some neck training that F1 drivers need to prepare for the onslaught of G-forces they experience on the track.

The entire video is well worth your time.

As an aside, if you’ve ever wanted to see your intrepid SB Nation F1 writer using one of those neck training harnesses, you might want to stay tuned for some content coming your way from the United States Grand Prix next month …
