YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is one of the most divisive men in sports.
In November, more than 60 million tuned in to watch him beat Mike Tyson in a fight that was slammed by many for the three-decade age difference between him and the 58-year-old boxing icon.
Jake Paul is signed to the PFL. The promotion’s CEO, Peter Murray, recently claimed that ‘The Problem Child’ will make his MMA debut at some point in 2025.
However, Logan Paul’s little brother’s latest comments suggest he’s not a fan of the sport, which he insists has become a watered-down version of boxing over the years.

During the podcast, Paul offered some harsh thoughts on the current state of MMA. The 28-year-old believes the sport has been harmed by fighters becoming more well-rounded.
“MMA is not what it was, that’s the truth of the matter,” he said.
“Boxing is bigger than ever. The biggest sporting event of the year in 2024 was boxing. Whereas MMA is becoming a s***tier version of boxing. Essentially, it’s kickboxing because everyone is getting good takedown defense, and everyone is a black belt in jiu-jitsu.
“So, there’s no more submissions, really. There’s not a lot of takedowns, and even if there is it’s f***ing boring. Everyone is good at takedown defense, so it’s literally kickboxing.
“Guess who the biggest star of the sport is in MMA? Alex Pereira, who is a kickboxer. Because he’s knocking everyone out, blah, blah, blah. And he’s the best one because no one can take him down, no one can submit him, so he’s just knocking everyone out.
“The UFC has less significant strikes per round, and that’s with five-minute rounds.”
Jake Paul slammed by angry MMA fans A clip of Paul’s comments has been shared on social media and gone viral in the online MMA world.
Fans of the sport were quick to let the former Disney star what they thought about his bold take on MMA.
“Loser take!! Wow,” one fan said. While another commented: “Bro is so stupid it’s crazy.”
“One of the worst takes I’ve ever seen,” a third person added.
“Excuse me.. what? Man, Jake Paul needs to STFU,” someone else fumed.
“That doesn’t make sense,” this puzzled fan wrote.
“Can you imagine this kid in the octagon?” a sixth fan asked.
