“Love It When They Assume”: Deion Sanders’ Analyst Praise Stealthily Targets Media Criticism After CBS Reporter Snub

by News7

Deion Sanders was correct when he claimed he had always been judged differently. Lately, the Colorado Buffs head coach has engaged in another hoopla. This time, it has been with a journalist. On Friday, August 9, Coach Prime faced the media. However, the ordinary press conference got spiced up when he blatantly refused to answer questions from a reporter with the “CBS” tag. And BOOM! The haters were ready to strip Deion for his arrogant move, but On3 Recruits analyst Phillip Dukes came up with the reality behind the situation. This was enough for the Buffs HC to give him a shout-out for taking his stand. Meanwhile, this is not the first time Deion has gotten into a tiff with a news reporter.

When Deion chose not to answer the CBS analyst who introduced him as Eric Christensen of KCNC, the Buffs haters fam whipped up a conspiracy theory targeting Coach Prime. Going by their outlook, Deion took offense because CBS chose not to glorify the coach. According to the reports, the particular media outlet ranked the NFL Hall of Famer as the 61st-best coach in CFB. Despite the criticism, Deion has garnered a backer, another analyst, Dukes. This was enough to melt his heart, as the Buffs HC re-shared the video with the caption, “Thank u my brother for keeping some things unspoken. We love it when they A*Sume.”

Thank u my brother for keeping some things unspoken. We love it when they ASSume. Lolololol The insanity is better than Sanford & Son at times. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂Keep up the outstanding Reporting and keeping it 💯. Relationships in this business is everything. God bless my… https://t.co/IoQ9qGFMiW

Is Deion Sanders the most misunderstood coach in college football? React!

But what did Dukes say that touched Coach Prime? The On3 analyst confirmed that Deion is least bothered about his rankings now: “Right now Deion Sanders ain’t thinking about no ranking.” Given Coach Prime’s rationality, he highlighted how the CBS reporter did not fault since he has been driven only by facts. “Ranking was a fact-based opinion. Someone who does this for a living who was asked to do a job someone was going to have to be second to last, he chose it to be Deion Sanders. I don’t think that Deion has any issue,” noted Dukes. Surprisingly, the Buffs HC got entangled earlier in a dispute involving another reporter.

Deion was involved in blocking press in 2021During Deion’s tenure at Jackson State University in 2021, the coach fell out with a Clarion Ledger reporter named Rashad Milligan. Things were terrible at the Southwestern Athletic Conference Media Day. Milligan attended the conference a day later after covering a controversial story about Quaydarius Davis, the top JSU commitment. Then, Davis faced recent charges of domestic violence.

Deion was unwilling to face the media in the controversial setting, so the JSU officials whipped up a master plan beforehand. They immediately blocked Milligan, and his entry was restricted in Birmingham, Alabama, for the evening, keeping Deion all guarded. While the Buffs HC was indirectly involved in the reporter scuffle the last time, this time, he chose to take the reins into his own hands and stop the CBS reporter.

Why does the media keep underestimating Deion Sanders? Isn’t it time they give him his due respect?

Even though we are yet to know what propelled Deion to shoot down the reporter, he has shown enormous progress lately regarding his coaching role. He has released a safety net for Shedeur by bolstering the defense line and has introduced innovative strategies to train the Buffs. Besides, Coach Prime has contributed hugely to boosting CU’s media value to $340 million, initially only $87 million. Some facts can’t toss out the magic he crafted for the Buffs.
