Morning Report: Michael Bisping slams Jake Paul’s ‘pure bully-boy tactics,’ says ‘the sh*t show continues’

by News7

Jake Paul is undefeated against former MMA fighters in boxing matches.

To the dismay of fans aplenty, “The Solution Child” has made a combat sports career off of thumping our beloved MMA veterans in the squared circle. After collecting highlights over former champions Tyron Woodley (twice), Ben Askren, Anderson Silva, and the seasoned fan favorite Nate Diaz, Paul added Mike Perry’s name to his resume this past Saturday.

The match was originally supposed to see the stunning pairing of Paul against the legendary Mike Tyson. That was until health complications prevented Tyson from making his return to action. Therefore, bare-knuckle boxing (BKB) sensation and former UFC welterweight Perry entered to save the day.

Unfortunately for “Platinum,” he suffered the fate of most others before him as he lost via sixth-round TKO. As a previously discussed possible Paul rival, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping remains unimpressed by the YouTuber.

“Somebody with the same size, the same build, with the same strength and power of the same experience, would have had a field day with him,” Bisping said on his YouTube channel. “He was all over the place. His feet were crossing all over the place. He was swinging. It was wild, it was reckless, okay?

“The sh*t show continues. Jake Paul calls out Alex ‘Poatan’ Pereira. Jake Paul says he wants to challenge himself, okay? So, he calls out Alex Pereira, who he knows damn well that fight will never materialize. So, of course, he’s going to call him out.”

The win was Paul’s 10th in his 11-match career after making his professional debut in 2020. Perry, on the other hand, hadn’t competed in a gloved boxing match since 2015.

Paul’s call out of the UFC light heavyweight champion Pereira certainly caught everyone off guard. “Poatan” has quickly risen to superstardom throughout his still-short UFC career, capturing titles in two divisions. As one of the most decorated strikers in combat sports history, Pereira would undeniably be a mountainous climb for Paul if that matchup were to ever happen.

The UFC doesn’t typically do business like that, so no one should get their hopes up. Instead, the Tyson match is rebooked for November, and Paul reminded the world after the callout, much to Bisping’s chagrin.

“He goes, ‘Mike Tyson,’” Bisping said of Paul. “The man’s 58 years old. Why don’t you fight a real boxer? Anyone in that top 10, they would smoke him, they would deal him a devastating knockout, they would land crushing blows and he would be sh*tting his pants in there. I still don’t have respect because that was pure bully-boy tactics. The size difference was remarkable.”

Paul’s lone loss came opposite “real” boxer Tommy Fury when he was on the wrong end of a split decision in February 2023. The new part-owner of Perry’s BKB home in BKFC, Conor McGregor, was very in line with Bisping’s side of the Paul spectrum, blasting the whole event on fight night.

“The Notorious” highlighted Paul’s size difference, suggesting PED use, which Bisping doesn’t dispute despite no proof of foul play from Paul at this time.

“It’s not often I agree with Conor McGregor, but I tell you what, he hit the absolute nail on the head,” Bisping said. “Why isn’t he fighting real boxers? Because they would all smoke him.

“Why isn’t he fighting somebody his size? It is an embarrassment to all the people that lace up a pair of gloves as a young boy. Yeah, he’s a draw. He’s a draw to a bunch of 12-year-old, pre-pubescent Disney boys.

“McGregor’s talking about steroids,” he continued. “He looked very, very red. Maybe he was sunburned. Maybe he was outside. Yeah. Beating Mike Perry. He beat him. Well done. Congratulations. Then to call out Alex Pereira, that’s definitely not going to happen, and then in the same breath, continue to call out Mike Tyson, 58 years old. It is absolutely laughable.”
