Dolphins WR Odell Beckham Jr. to begin season on PUP list

Beckham will miss the Dolphins first four games of the 2024 season. The earliest he is eligible to return is Week 5 when the Dolphins face the Patriots. Beckham will miss games against the Jaguars, Bills, Seahawks, and Titans.

Beckham played 14 games with the Baltimore Ravens last season. He did not play in 2022 after suffering a torn ACL during Super Bowl LVI when his Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 31-year-old wide receiver signed a 1-year, $3 million deal in the offseason with incentives potentially pushing the total value up to a maximum of $8.25 million. The Dolphins were reportedly aware of Beckham’s injury when he was signed in May.

He has not practiced since signing with the team in March, and will miss at least the first four games of the regular season

RB Dalvin Cook joins CowboysThe 29-year-old Cook played last season with the Jets, rushing for 214 yards in 67 attempts.

Patriots place DT Christian Barnmore on Reserve/Non-Football List as he recovers from blood clotsThe New England Patriots are hoping Christian Barnmore can return at some point this season after placing the DT on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List on Tues

Just as training camp got under way, the Patriots announced that Barmore, 25, had been diagnosed with blood clots and treated at a local hospital.

Barnmore is entering his fourth season in New England after being a second-round pick out of Alabama in 2021. In April, he signed a four-year extension worth up to $92 million with $41.8 million guaranteed.

Vikings waive 2022 1st-round pick Lewis CineCine was taken 32nd overall by the Vikings in 2022. He suffered a compound fracture to his lower left leg during Week 4 of the 2022 season while on special teams.

He played 10 games over two seasons with Minnesota, and was inactive for 10 games .

Packers RB AJ Dillon to miss season due to neck injuryThe Packers running back will miss the 2024 season due to a neck injury.

Dillon, 26, played 15 games last season with Green Bay. He ran for 613 yards and two touchdowns.

Yahoo Sports’ Jori Epstein reported this week that Dillon was set to see a decent workload behind No. 1 RB Josh Jacobs.

While 2022 rushing champion Josh Jacobs is sure to impress, don’t sleep on RB AJ Dillon. His offseason muscle and chisel have turned heads, LaFleur saying Dillon’s in “THE best shape” he’s seen.

Chargers release TE Donald Parham Jr.Parham was with the Chargers for the last four seasons after going undrafted out of Steton. He is coming off a season where he posted career-highs in receptions (27), targets (41), receiving yards (285), and touchdowns (4).

Texans place QB Case Keenum on IR, will miss 2024 seasonThe 36-year-old veteran quarterback is dealing with a foot injury and will not play this season. Keenum spent last season with the Texans where he appeared in two games, throwing one touchdown and three interceptions.

Cowboys trade TE Peyton Hendershot to ChiefsThe Kansas City Chiefs have scooped up a new tight end. The Chiefs struck a deal with the Dallas Cowboys for Peyton Hendershot, who the Cowboys were planning to waive anyways. In return, Dallas will receive a 2026 conditional seventh round draft pick.

The former Indiana tight end had four catches for 38 yards last season in Dallas.

Browns RB Nick Chubb, Rams TE Tyler Higbee on PUP listTwo notable names, especially for fantasy purposes, will stay on the PUP list and miss the first four games of the season.

Browns running back Nick Chubb is still recovering from a knee injury suffered in Week 2 against the Steelers last season, while Rams tight end Tyler Higbee is still recovering from a knee injury as well.

Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson to remain on PUP listT.J. Hockenson will begin the 2024 NFL season on the PUP list, ruling him out for the Vikings’ first four games against the Giants, 49ers, Texans, and Packers.

Hockenson suffered a torn ACL and MCL during Week 16 last season. He finished the season with 95 receptions for 960 yards and five touchdowns.

Minnesota is leaving TE T.J. Hockenson on the Physically Unable to Perform List, which means he is ineligible to be active during the first four games of the season, per sources. Dalvin Cook to the Cowboys?The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly set to meet with running back Dalvin Cook on Monday night. Cook spent most of lsat season with the Jets, and then joined the Baltimore Ravens for their playoff run.

While he had four straight 1,000-yard seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Cook had just 214 rushing yards and didn’t score a touchdown with the Jets in 2023.
