“What if Somebody Posts It” – Trinity Rodman Exposes Double Standards for Men & Women Athletes Facing Scrutiny

by News7

They say why should boys have all the fun? Call it a societal paradigm shift, but men and women still face a significant gap in opportunities and advantages. Take soccer, for instance, where the pay gap remains a prominent issue. Now, however, such double standards have begun to surface even in off-pitch aspects of life—something Trinity Rodman has openly and vocally called out.

Soccer fans may have noticed that the majority of players in the men’s game, despite going out to clubs and other social settings, are not subjected to the same scrutiny as those in the women’s game, where fans and media often construct a critical narrative. “I just feel like with male sports, with men, it’s like they’re out there going to concerts, on stage, going to clubs,” began Trinity during her chat on Call Her Daddy podcast.

“It’s like, ‘Oh, here this person is at a club drinking like two nights before a game,’ and it’s just like, okay, normal. But I feel like me and my teammates will go out one night on an off weekend and we see a camera and we’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, what if our coach finds out? What if somebody posts it?’” explained the Washington Spirits forward.

It’s not like the daughter of Dennis Rodman aspires to follow in her father’s footsteps with controversial lifestyle choices, nor does she expect to escape criticism entirely. However, the 22-year-old believes that women players deserve to enjoy some level of fun without being subjected to negative or overly critical narratives.

“We’re not even getting drunk; we’re just going to be in public and just feel the vibe… here to feel something. We’re dead sober; we’ve had like half of the cocktail; I’m drinking Red Bull the whole time,” added the recent Olympic gold medal winner in the Paris games.

Picture this, in Michael Jordan’s Last Dance, you may have seen the NBA icon who was flying to Vegas but came back in the middle of the game to play for his side. So if any athlete from women’s sports would have done the same, it sure would have created havoc in the sporting world, maybe one of the historic moments.

But surely, Trinity knows better how men have capitalized on all kinds of advantages. After all, someone in her own family— or rather, someone of the same blood— lived a life that the star forward condemns to this day!

Trinity Rodman takes a dig at father Dennis’ ‘toxic’ lifestyleFor years, Trinity Rodman has been vocal about her father Dennis Rodman’s absence as a parental figure during her upbringing, and recently, she once again spoke out about his controversial off-court behavior. “He partied all the time, he has this beach house in Newport, and we tried to live with him, but he’s having 24/7, he’s bringing random b—–s in like?” shared Trin in the same podcast.

There have been numerous instances where the Worm has made headlines for controversial reasons. To remind you, police responded to over 70 noise complaints due to parties at his Newport Beach home. In 2003, he was arrested and charged with domestic violence at the same residence for allegedly assaulting his third wife and Trin’s mother, Michelle Moyer.

Luckily, that hasn’t been the case for his two children, Trinity and her brother DJ, who are staying away from such shenanigans and are focused on making a name for themselves in their respective sporting fields. Also, imagine if it were a female athlete instead of Dennis Rodman. We can only wonder what the reaction would have been!
