Wendy’s Announces CEO SuccessionThe Wendy’s Company has appointed Kirk Tanner as Wendy’s President and CEO, effective February 5, 2024. Mr. Tanner will succeed Todd Penegor, who will depart from the Company and Board in February after serving in senior leadership positions at Wendy’s for more than a decade.

El Pollo Loco Holdings Appoints Liz Williams as Chief Executive Officer and DirectorEl Pollo Loco Holdings has appointed Elizabeth (“Liz”) Williams as the Company’s new Chief Executive Officer and as a member of its Board of Directors, effective March 11, 2024. Ms. Williams will succeed Maria Hollandsworth, who has served as the Company’s interim Chief Executive Officer since November 3, 2023. Ms. Hollandsworth has been appointed as President of El Pollo Loco and will also continue to serve as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer.

Pepper Lunch Bolsters Executive Team to Keep Pace with GrowthPepper Lunch has tapped industry veteran Mark Bailey as its Chief Operating Officer. Previously, Mark had been supporting Pepper Lunch in a consultant capacity, but with the company’s aggressive growth trajectory, and multiple recent major market franchisee signings, Mark is now fully overseeing the brand’s domestic operations arm.
